Here’s an easy riddle I think you’d solve without blinking.
I’m a genius in a specific business field who foresees a problem and immediately proposes a solution.
But, I can’t foresee all problems and immediately provide all solutions.
Who am I?
You guessed right.
I am HUMAN, a PERSON.
A GENIUS.
But, a PERSON still.

- Suggests the right technician who needs to be called to fix my company’s equipment ( generators, air conditioners, computers)
- Tracks my business supplies, knows what is running out, and alerts me so I can re-order.
- Knows that I might forget to service my office equipment and alerts me beforehand.
- Helps me manage everything that concerns purchasing new equipment, and vendor contracts, making sure I’m getting quality at a good price and the contract agreement is followed.
- Helps technicians view with their mobile phones, work that needs to be done on my equipment, and update progress on the work done.
- Provides me with a report on the equipment that’s always faulty and where resources are being wasted.
- Works in harmony with other business systems.
- Ensure my company is up to date on keeping safety rules and environmental requirements.
IBM Maximo made me realize that even a genius needs help, especially in tracking, planning, managing and maintaining physical assets.
